This was taken on 4th November 2011. The sky was beautiful and the sun was quite low and so the light was beautiful on the building. The photograph is made up of around 6 individual photos.
I was trying to take a photo of the campanile but there was a bird sat right ontop of the statue! I was there for over 15 minutes and it didn't move once :)
